What is the difference between AJAX and JavaScript?

Javascript is a client-side scripting language whereas AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) is a technique to dynamically(asynchronously) update parts of the UI without reloading whole webpage. AJAX uses Javascript, XML, CSS, HTML technologies to send asynchronous request to server.

Question 12:

What is the reason of using HTTP POST request by AJAX requests?

When ever you require to store data on server it is recommended to send data using POST. This is common practice. Similarly GET method is used to retrieve data from server which is similar to querying the server. The same concept applies to AJAX requests too. Moreover when you require to send sensitive data like user authentication it is better to send data using POST method.
